How to Get IPTV on Kodi

Step 1: Install Kodi

Download Kodi from the official site, kodi.tv, or from your device's app store. On Fire TV, Kodi installs through Downloader like other apps.

Step 2: Open the add-ons section

From the Kodi home screen, select Add-ons → Install from repository → Kodi Add-on repository → PVR clients.

Step 3: Install PVR IPTV Simple Client

Select PVR IPTV Simple Client and choose Install. This is Kodi's official add-on for IPTV playlists, so it doesn't need any third-party repository.

Step 4: Add your IPTV playlist and TV guide

Open the add-on and choose Configure (on Kodi 20 and later: Add add-on configuration). Under General, set Location to Remote path and paste your M3U link. Under EPG, paste the XMLTV guide link from your welcome message, then select OK.

Step 5: Start watching IPTV on Kodi

Restart Kodi so it loads the channels, then open TV from the home menu. Channels appear in a list and the guide fills in after a minute or two.

Common IPTV problems on Kodi

• No TV menu on the home screen: enable it in Settings → Interface → Skin → Configure skin.
• Channels load but no guide: check the EPG link and restart Kodi.
• Playback stops: raise the cache in Kodi's advancedsettings.xml or use a wired connection.
